Speech in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, 13 November 1973
As the first federal chancellor to do so, on 13 November 1973 Willy Brandt speaks to the European Parliament in Strasbourg. In his keynote address he depicts his vision of a united Europe. The German chancellor advocates the creation of a Political Union, supports the plan for a European currency union and suggests a common social policy for the European Community.
